The obsessive word-count lady is back.
I actually kind of like her. She's focused. She's working. She's writing.
She has a deadline.
But she has to stop every fifteen or twenty minutes to check her word count.
Oh, only 30 more words to make 1600 for the day. And if she's working in multiple files, she has to add the individual word counts to get the daily grand total.
She got an email that a publisher wants to see a manuscript. Except it's not quite done. So she's writing feverishly, nudging the word count up every hour. 3000 Wednesday, 2000 Thursday. Whatever is in this blog entry is the total so far for Friday.
Must go write.
