Jodi Picoult's The Tenth Circle is by no means an easy read. As with all of Picoult's books, there is a major societal issue involved, as well as a family having to deal with that issue. In this case, it's the date rape of a teenage girl and how it affects her parents as well as her community.

The story is fascinating and engrossing, but I can't really say I enjoyed it, per se. But it is an excellent novel.
