Maybe you did not know this but your diet can affect your sleep. While millions of people have trouble falling asleep each night and don’t get quality sleep, many people overlook the fact that their diet may have a lot to do with their poor sleep.
Here are some tips on how you can make changes to your diet and get a good night's sleep:
1. Avoid stimulants such as caffeine found in coffee, tea and soda. A can of soda in the evening can prolong the time it will take to fall asleep.
2. Alcohol should also be avoided. While alcohol will make you drowsy, the quality of sleep will be poorer. If you have to have alcohol, at least drink it early in the evening.
3. Eat a healthy and balanced diet. It will not only help you lose weight but help you sleep easier and wake up feeling fresh instead of fatigued.
4. Don't Overeat. You will end up feeling stuffy and have breathing problems which will again deprive you of good sleep.
