Fitness Challenge Update

Well, for those that participated, I hope you did well, and for those that would like to take part in it, it will always be in the archives. 10 Day Fitness Challenge.

My weakness was the push-ups, and my favorite was the dancing, if you are not into an exercise routine/format, turning on some music and dancing is a great aerobic workout, and positively better than doing nothing at all. You are probably in the privacy of your own home, so let loose and have some healthy fun!

Not every night, but several nights a week, I do prepare low fat meals, and not by using low fat products on the market, but by using fresh greens, herbs, vegetables, fruits and lean meats. I eat mostly veggies, pasta and fruit. I really do not care for a lot of meat, but my husband does enjoy it, so I cook/grill mainly chicken, and steak every now and then, I LOVE vegetarian dishes. But...there are many things that I enjoy that either have a high fat content or are not so good for me, so my rule of thumb for this time of my life is - eating in moderation - works for me!

My Reward to myself was enjoying fine Italian cuisine with my husband at our very favorite restaurant. After that we traveled the scenic route home along the beach, and did a bit of shopping, it was a beautiful evening. Don't forget to reward yourself!

I myself, am continuing on and doubling everything I did this last round, with the exception of taking the stairs, that’s not really an option in the area that I am in and the places I frequent, so I will replace that with a bike ride. And believe me-there is a ton of work to be done outside too, so no slacking here! Doing these small things did make me want to move more and I looked forward to it each day, it really was fun!
